Shrimp Rangoon

Description
Succulent shrimp mixed with cream cheese and wrapped in a crispy wonton wrapper, Shrimp Rangoon is sure to be your new favorite appetizer.
Ingredients
- 8 ounces cream cheese , softened
- 8 ounces cooked salad shrimp , chopped
- ½ tablespoon soy sauce
- 2 stalks green onions , sliced thin
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 30 wonton wrappers
Directions
- Combine the softened cream cheese, shrimp, garlic powder, soy sauce, and half the green onions.
- Mix to combine.
- Place 1 teaspoon in the center of a wonton wrapper.
- Wrap into an envelope in the follow steps:
- 1. Start diagonally
- 2. Fold bottom corner up to the top. Press to close, removing all the air.
- 3. Wipe the side points with water.
- 4. Fold the two side points in towards the center.
- 5. Rub water on the top point.
- 6. Fold down to look like an envelope.
- Repeat with remaining wonton wrappers.
- Heat 2-3 inches of vegetable oil to 350 F.
- Fry them in batches of 3-5 for 2-3 minutes, flipping as needed, until golden brown.
- Remove to a paper towel lined plate to drain and cool slightly.
- Serve with your favorite dipping sauce.
