Air fryer Cashews

These air fryer cashew nuts are a crunchy, delicious and healthy snack.

Ingredients
  • 1 cup cashews
  • ½ tsp. pepper
  • ¼ tsp. pink salt
  • ½ tsp. paprika
  • ½ tsp. chaat masala optional
  • 1 tsp. olive oil
Directions
  1. Take 1 cup raw, unsalted cashews.
  2. Assemble the spice powders or seasonings that you are using.
  3. Add salt, pepper and oil, if using to the cashews.
  4. Preheat air fryer to 360F or 180C for 5 minutes.
  5. While the air fryer is preheating, lightly brush or spray the cashews with oil.
  6. Hold back the paprika or cayenne and chaat masala for later.
  7. Mix well.
  8. Transfer the cashews to the air fryer basket.
  9. Spread them in a single layer making sure there is no overlap.
  10. Air fry for 4 to 6 minutes at 360F or 180C.
  11. Four minutes gives you a light blush and 6 minutes is darker like fried nuts.
  12. Shake the basket a couple of times during air frying.
  13. I have also air fried without using any oil and the colour of the nuts is lighter without any shine.
  14. They still taste equally good.
  15. Once done, mix the remaining seasonings and toss the cashews with them.
  16. This is so that paprika or cayenne do not burn.
  17. Oil helps in adhering the seasoning well.
  18. If you have not used oil, just take the seasoning in a ziploc and toss air fried nuts to catch some of it.
  19. Mix well and serve.
  20. If you are planning to store them, cool them down and store in an air tight container.
