Air fryer Beet Chips

Beet chips in air fryer come out super crispy and delicious. Such a nice snack. Air fryers are excellent for dehydrating fruits and vegetables to make healthy snacks.

Ingredients
  • 1 lb. beetroot or 500 gm.
  • 2 tsp. olive oil optional
  • ½ tsp. himalayan pink salt or normal salt
  • ½ tsp. pepper optional
Directions
  1. Wash the beetroot, peel them and cut them into even-sized thin slices. This mandolin slicer works really well.
  2. Dry them well.
  3. Add 2 tsp. olive oil and spread all over the beetroot slices. Add Himalayan salt and pepper (optional) and mix well. It is now ready to air fry.
  4. No need to add olive oil. We will air fry the cut slices.
  5. Preheat the air fryer at 160C or 320F for 3 minutes. Brush with oil and layer the beetroot slices in the air fryer basket.
  6. I let them overlap a bit as they shrink when they air fry.
  7. Air fry at 160C or 320F for about 10-12 minutes.
  8. Keep opening the basket and shaking or flipping them once or twice during air frying. When they get crispy, they start changing their color a bit.
  9. Remember they crisp up more when taken out.
  10. They get incredibly delicious and crispy once done. Enjoy.
  11. If you have not used any oil, then just garnish them with a little salt and pepper and enjoy.
